welcome Motorsports world!
Ryan here! A lot of you know me from the many years I’ve spent in the motorsports community, but I’d like to tell you a little bit more about myself, as I venture into this new journey of promoting motorsports.
I took an interest in the motorsports industry at a very young age. From going to many different events including demolition derbies, snowmobile drag races, truck pulls, tractor pulls, mud bogs, monster truck and tough truck events. Growing up on a farm, I learned to fix and repair most anything, and learning how everything operated, I believe, helped me to be where I am today. I fell in love with anything that had an engine right away. Most of my free time you would find me riding my 3-wheeler and 4-wheeler, and in the winter I would be on my snowmobiles.
Once I turned 16 I was able to get involved in a few things such as truck pulling and demolition derby. Demolition derby has stuck with me since day one. Derbying was something I really enjoyed, and they say “once ya do it, it’s in your blood”. I started in 2005, so this year will be my 20th year being involved in the demolition derby sport! I enjoy the time spent building cars and driving them. But being on the track — there is nothing I can compare that to!
Coming into my 20th year of demolition derby, I currently hold 20 total feature wins. Derby has been a part of my life since the beginning. It has taught me many lessons over the years, along with many learning experiences. I also love to help the new and up-and-comers in the sport, it’s so nice to watch them grow and fall in love with the sport that has been such a huge part of me for so many years.
